It's a Summer Of Sport says Bill...
I’m writing this the day after the Olympics ended in Paris (and Marseilles, or even Tahiti…), the weather seems to have picked up here in the UK, and it feels like a summer of sports is well underway
Thoughts from Bill about last week's Southerns and an International Regatta next year..?
So that’s the first Championship event done, and what an event it was. 57 boats entered for the Southerns at Parkstone last weekend, a remarkable number for a weekend open.
Bill looks at recent successes and future events
It only seems like yesterday I was writing my last newsletter piece, right after a successful Dinghy Show. In fact, a couple of months have passed since then and we’re well into the sailing season.
Bill welcomes us to a new year of 'Fifteen events
So all the winter maintenance is done, the weather will soon start to warm up (I promise), and we’re ready to get stuck into a bumper season of Fifteen sailing for the UK class.
First words from new UKFFA President Bill Chard
My first newsletter as President, but I think most of you will know me already, and if we haven’t met at an event yet, hopefully that will change next season. I’ll start by thanking Ian Cadwallader for running the ship for the last couple of years and handing over to me with the UK fleet in such good shape.
Cad gets his hands dirty, then looks ahead to the biggest event of the year
Changing wheel bearings, sailing at the Southerns, and plans for August & September
