This series is for Lakeland locality club sailors with the aim of supporting flying fifteen sailing in local clubs, we can also attend a series of opens without too much added expense.
The Series is open to members from all Lakeland locality clubs, including this year Blackpool and Fleetwood. To remove doubt, Bassenthwaite, Blackpool & Fleetwood, Coniston, Royal Windermere, South Windermere & Ullswater. The series comprises of 3 events in the 2019 - the Royal Windermere, Ullswater and Bassenthwaite open meetings.
As with the Norhern Travellers series Championship grade sailors are excluded from the series results, although may of course compete in the events themselves. If you are looking for a guide that would generally be the top 10 to 12 sailors in the previous years Northern Championship.
The final event this year will be the Bassenthwaite open on 21st-22nd September, and the series trophy will be presented at this event.
- Three events on large inland waters.
- Aimed at club-level sailors based in Cumbria / Lakeland
- Championship grade sailors excluded from series results
