It was a sunny weekend with light to moderate northerly winds. On Saturday, winds were moderate from the north with considerable variation in strength and direction. Winds were lighter on Sunday but with big shifts. On both days these conditions led to much place changing and to surprisingly close racing. All three races on Saturday were won by Toby and Maxine Cooper in 3705. Next were the two Classics from Middle Nene, Neil and Stuart Bartholomy in 2700 and Mark Greer and Jim Reid in 2433, on equal points. The sociable traditions of the Southern Travellers Series were well maintained on Saturday evening and we woke up to another sunny day and everything to play for. Toby and Maxine won the first race to put them in first place overall. Mark and Jim took line honours comfortably in the second race to give them second overall and Neil and Stuart finished in third overall.
