Value for money or what?
We've been running the second hand list for quite a while now and much has changed since Graham kept a list and posted it out to interested parties on a regular basis. You can now upload your own advert, with picture and pay with your credit card using Paypal online making the whole process much easier and quicker to access, especially if we remember to approve the advert in a timely fashion, but is it worth it?
Well the fee has been much the same since I returned to FF sailing 14 years ago at £5.00 for members and £10 for non members so no inflationary increases here then, not bad; what about the number of views? Well as with most things in cyber land this can be monitored and our very fine website can do just that, with a little help from our web master. Just for interest the number of views the second hand pages had for last month was 2,390 not bad for a small specialised interest website I think!
You might think that the most hits go to the newest boats, but last months figures show that the page for sail number 3546 had the most views, so folk are still looking for good entry level boats to start their FF sailing careers.
We've also done a wee trawl of other sites where FF's are sold and whilst the number on Apollo Duck are increasing we are regularly informed that it is our site which generates the most interest so we are still confident that the best way to buy or sell a flying fifteen is via our pages, we think still great value for money too.
