One of the problems with many of our sailing venues is that they can be hard to find, being either in the countryside on unnamed roads, or hidden in housing areas. One way around this is to use the new technology of What3Words.
What3Words addresses reference a 3m x 3m grid everywhere on the globe (even at sea!). They are recognised and used by emergency services; useful for reaching accidents in remote places. Their website has links to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for the mobile apps. Navigation is provided by your own favourite app via a link.
Most the the sailing clubs where we sail have now been allocated an address to aid sailors getting to them. The choice of address was mine and if you think there is a better one let me know. Bear in mind the use is for people driving to the club.
