For Sale Small Print / Posting Instructions (or Video)

If Posting this is the small print

We really appreciate the regular use of the second hand listing pages and we’ve been working hard to ensure that this is easy to use and gives a quick response.

However we’d like to remind you that a little bit of patience is required with these new features, if you upload an advert it WILL NOT appear immediately even if you have paid by card.  This because a HUMAN, not a computer needs to approve your advert.

So if your advert doesn’t appear immediately, please don’t up load another. It hasn’t appeared because it hasn’t been approved by one of the two or three HUMANS who do this!

Please note we do not deal with third party contracted web developers to place adverts on this site we only accept adverts from members or Flying Fifteen owners on these pages.

Thanks for listening

The management!

New leaders of the Southern Travellers Series

and news of the next event on 10-11th June

Aldeburgh Yacht Club held the 3rd open meeting for the 2023 Southern travellers on 3rd and 4th June.

If you did not attend you missed an amazing event, 12 to 20 knots of windward leeward courses on Saturday not a cloud in the sky!!  16 teams entered including the 8 visitors.  The Sunday was similar weather, but the club started with a windward leeward which then turned into around the cans, if you have never sailed from Aldeburgh, we cannot tell you how beautiful it is while racing.
The southern traveller’s series is all about turning up racing hard and making new friends. One great example of this was a visitor that had never travelled to an open meeting asked for some help rigging and setting up their boat.  In 10 minutes, 6 people worked together the boat was rigged tuned and ready to go. What was even better the crew of that boat sailed better than they had expected and kept walking around smiling (and buying drinks to say thank you).

Congratulations go to GBR 4033 Justin Waples, and Jackie Mckellar visiting from Burnham RCYC who not only had a convincing win they were some of the most active sailors helping other race teams improve their boat performance. (An Amazing Team).

The New Leaders of the Southern Travellers Series after the Third Event are: GBR 3844 Duncan Matthew and John Chalker - Congratulations for a 2nd at Grafham and 3rd at their home event.

We would love for you to join us at our next events and be part of the >30 boats in the series.

Next week:  10th-11th June    Middle Nene SC  Meadow Ln, Thrapston NN14 4QL (What3Words -  ///subway.hardens.tilting )

Middle Nene is a another fantastic inland lake. The club as easy launching pontoons for all visiting boats so dry launching / retrieval.

From a personal experience fun and interesting people to talk to / race against.

Follow the link for further details .

The Week After
17th-18th          RCYC Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex CM0 8AX
Like Aldeburgh looking to have a mix of the round the cans racing and windward / leeward sailing and a dinner at the club on Saturday evening.
Come and join the fun even if you think rigging the boat will be hard let us know and a team will get you rigged and having a coffee with friends in a very short time!

The standings in the Series are in the attached Excel sheet in the Document to Download section below.

John Hanson
