For Sale Small Print / Posting Instructions (or Video)

If Posting this is the small print

We really appreciate the regular use of the second hand listing pages and we’ve been working hard to ensure that this is easy to use and gives a quick response.

However we’d like to remind you that a little bit of patience is required with these new features, if you upload an advert it WILL NOT appear immediately even if you have paid by card.  This because a HUMAN, not a computer needs to approve your advert.

So if your advert doesn’t appear immediately, please don’t up load another. It hasn’t appeared because it hasn’t been approved by one of the two or three HUMANS who do this!

Please note we do not deal with third party contracted web developers to place adverts on this site we only accept adverts from members or Flying Fifteen owners on these pages.

Thanks for listening

The management!

Flying Fifteen Scottish Area Championship

Supported by The Glenturret Whisky

A total of 8 boats sailed in this year’s Scottish Area Championships which were supported by The Glenturret Whisky. Four visiting boats and four home boats competed for the Overall, Silver, and Classic fleet championships.

The weekend had a mixed bag of sailing with very little wind on Saturday and a fresh breeze on Sunday. The shifty and gusty conditions on Sunday proved a challenge for everyone with lots of opportunities to make (and lose!) places.

A total of 4 races were sailed over the 2 days with race victories for Chris and Marion Bowen from Holy Loch Sailing Club, Mike Preston and Karl Sloan from Blackpool and Fleetwood Yacht Club, and Bobby Salmond and David Cunningham from Loch Earn Sailing Club.

The eventual winners of the Overall Championship were Mike and Karl who with a second victory in the final race won by a single point from Marion and Chris. It was close racing throughout the fleet with the Silvers and Classics enjoying tight racing back down the field with places changing hands in all races.

Mike and Karl won the Skelly Trophy as overall winners, Bobby and David won the Monklands Classic Cup as Classic Fleet winners and John and Iain Best (LESC) won the Old Pultney Trophy as Silver Fleet winners.

At the prize-giving, Mike thanked the Race Officer Colin Tait for a sterling effort in getting the racing completed in difficult conditions and also thanked LESC for the welcome and hospitality all the competitors received during the weekend.

Thanks to The Glenturret Whisky for their generous donation of prizes, thanks to the race officer team of Colin and Mandy Tait, and all the folks from LESC who helped out at the event.

The 2022 Scottish Area Championships are due to be held at Holy Loch Sailing Club over the weekend of  the14 & 15 May 2022.
