Flying 15s for Sale in the UK fleet

We really appreciate the regular use of the second hand listing pages and we’ve been working hard to ensure that this is easy to use and gives a quick response.  We’ve added Paypal to enable you to pay by card and it’s great to see you starting to use this feature. 

However we’d like to remind you that a little bit of patience is required with these new features, if you upload an advert it WILL NOT appear immediately even if you have paid by card.  This because a HUMAN, not a computer needs to approve your advert.

We do this to make sure you are not selling your children, personal services or Columbian nose candy as all of these sort of things are illegal and we don’t want our beautiful site spammed. 

So if your advert doesn’t appear immediately, please don’t up load another. It hasn’t appeared because it hasn’t been approved by one of the two or three HUMANS who do this! 

Please note we do not deal with third party contracted web developers to place adverts on this site we only accept adverts from members or Flying Fifteen owners on these pages.

Image Preparation

Before even starting to post the advert prepare your images to use on the website. Most images from a phone will be between 5-8MB in size. Whilst the system will accept these, they will take ages to down load to a phone for the viewer. We recommend you use some editing to reduce the image file size (to <500KB) and image dimensions (largest dimension 1000 pixels). Google "image resizer" to find a free online service if required.

Posting your advert

1. You need to be Registered on the site and logged in to be able to post an entry.
2. Ensure that you have paid the fee HERE, otherwise the advert will not be approved and displayed.
3. Scroll down this page and select the Add an Article button
4. Enter the Title for the advert, usually boat number and a price. A sub title is not required, but can help.
5. Select both the Items for Sale main category AND a sub-category in the Organize section below that matches what you have for sale.
6. Provide a short summary of the item for sale (<200 characters). This will appear on Facebook and the Home Page.
   Note: if you put contact information here it will be widely circulated; you may wish to save that for the Body section of the Advert
7. Type the Body of the advert in the Description box (if you have created your advert in WORD, simply past the content into the Description space provided). We recommend you put your CONTACT INFORMATION here.
8. Scroll down to the Gallery Panel section. Click the ADD GALLERY button, then use the Select Images button to select an image from your PC OR drag and drop the images you wish to use into the box. If you are adding multiple images the first will appear on the Home Page and on social media.
9. Finally, when you have entered all the information and your advert is ready to be published scroll down to the WORKFLOW section and click on Publish, and Save and Close and the advert will be sent for Approval. The system will set an expiry date on the advert of 6 months after the date of publication.  If you require the advert to stay on or be re-submitted please advise us.
