The YMCA North site which is the base for South Windermere Sailing Club is currently up for sale and as such the future of SWSC is under threat.

In order to try and encourage the YMCA to sell the site to a buyer who will maintain community access to the lake rather than to a Private developer who will remove one of the few public access points to the lake the club has started a petition asking the YMCA to consider ongoing public access to the lake and community use of the site rather than selling to the highest bidder.

The Club has a fleet of 11 Flying Fifteens and would be grateful of any support / publicity the FF community could provide to our course.

Unfortunately we have been informed that closing bids for the site need to be submitted by the end of May and that the YMCA will make a decision shortly after that date. As such we urgently need signatures on the option as soon as possible.
