25 January 2013 Publicity 2253 Restoration Flute 496 restoration project Previous Article Refitting a Windebank Flying 15 No. 2663 Next Article Flying Fifteen Racing in Canada Flute has been a project carried out with Dave Naylor who will be known by many people. Dave lent me a mould of his about 20 years ago to enable me to build No 3437 that I have sailed nearly every weekend since. I was asked to go to the worlds at Hayling in 2011 with Mick Scholes from our club with fifteen classic #419 "True North" itself, a rescue job by Dave. We had such a good time as well as coming fifth plus, it was such a lovely boat to sail, I was sorry to end my involvement with it. I found myself looking on ebay and when Flute came up I talked Dave into a joint project with it. See this gallery for the photos of the restoration with comments.
