It’s been the talk of traveller’s events how unique the B&FYC sailing is and it is UNIQUE! There may also have been some slight talk about the beer, food and all round party atmosphere at night, however, I don’t remember this as the bar opened straight after sailing and I might have had a wee nip straight away! Speaking of parties, there is a V.E. party with live music, food, and bar on the Saturday night for competitors, club members and their guests starting @ 7pm @ £15.00 per head. Sound good? Well, we’re not finished. There is also the 1st Wyre Light Challenge race on Friday 8th May the day before our Flying Fifteen open. The hope is to reach the Wyre Light which stands 7 miles from Blackpool & Fleetwood Yacht Club in the sea, so if you want to try something completely different this is the weekend for you. Both of the event webpages are live at http://www.bfyc.org.uk/dinghies/ There is a discount of £5.00 for boats entering all 3 days of racing prior to 1/5/20.
