Please accept this as your invitation to attend the Flying Fifteen Open/East Coast Championships at RCYC; this iconic club is ready to welcome all Flying Fifteen sailors to this great event.
As always you will be welcomed with tea or coffee and get easily launched into the Marina, berths for your boat will be provided overnight. The racing will be run as usual by Edwin Buckley [race officer and event manager for the Endeavour Trophy], who will keep us all in good order, a beer will be provided as you come off the water which will be followed by a "not to be missed" supper evening. Sundays racing, at the confluence of the rivers Crouch and Roach with standard old style "Olympic courses" will be followed by a prize giving tea in the club to send you home.
If you are in any doubt about the rivers ability to be a host venue for Flying Fifteen's please remember that the club has regularly been the venue of choice for Squibs (50 boats), Dragons (35 boats) and Hunter 707, the club has also hosted the Cadet Nationals (150 boats) and of course the Endeavour Trophy (25 Boats).
Justin would be very grateful if you could give a positive indication of attendance so that the club are aware of how many to cater for.
Accommodation is available at the club (book quickly to avoid disappointment on 01621 782105) or at the White Hart Hotel on the quay or indeed in the numerous B & B's in the town Click Here for more details or contact Justin if you have any questions 01799 586279 or 07769 904844
