It would be great if you could make the Burnham Open on the 13/14th April.
The racing will be a mix of river courses, and windward leewards, so plenty of scope for all to shine, launching will be from the marina ramp (turn right after the Co-op when entering Burnham, entry forms will be there too), and there’s the option of leaving your boat in overnight in the marina. The RCYC has laid on a set meal price inc free drink at the club for the Saturday night for everyone, one large table for all is the plan.
The River Crouch is ideal for Flying Fifteens, up to 30 dragons race quite happily on the river, so there’s plenty of water………… for those that think the Crouch maybe small.
If you could confirm either way that would be really helpful, if only for me to stock the tub with the right number of free beers as we come off the water!!
New attendees coming this year are Greg Wells, Charles Apthorp, David Mckee, Richard Lovering, Andrew Lawson (in a borrowed boat), Keith Jamieson has also indicated he’ll come, and a new local boat from Burnham, and a few more from Broxbourne. I really wont to create the whow factor at the Club and top the 17 already confirmed, and try and get a fleet established on the Crouch.
It would be great to have a team from Draycote!!
So all help great appreciated by way of attendance, if you could pass this on to any other would be travellers at your clubs, to make it the best attended open meeting this year.
If you want to know any more please ask , and see you there!
